Nice Stems! Collection from OPI

Look what I’ve got for my birthday recently! I was so thrilled when I’ve opened the box and found the Nice Stems! collection from OPI. As some of you may know, I absolutely love to accessorize with nail polishes and one of my friends took up on my obsession and surprised me with that collection! It’s a Summer 2011 collection and I have never seen it before so am really happy with all the lovely colours!

Nice Stems! Collection from OPI
Inside the cute box are four nail lacquers with very different shades of pink:

From left to right: Play the Peonies, Come to Poppy, Be a Dahl-ia Won’t You? and I Lily Love You

This white shade of pearly pink tone is a very subtle shimmery colour. I’d recommend this colour to anyone who doesn’t like bold and bright colours to wear on their nails. It looks really lovely on and would look fab on the toes in the summer! The only downside is that it’s a bit strokey when applied so you need to be careful and two coats are a must!

This shimmery coral lacquer has a deep and vibrant colour. Its fab, deep shade is perfect for Summer months but also for any parties and just as a ‘pick-me-up’ colour. As it is a very vibrant colour, one coat of the lacquer is enough; however, I always like to apply two coats for the deeper colour effect.

This is my favourite colour of the whole collection!!! This sparkling fuchsia colour is a perfect choice for those who want to ‘wow’ with noticeable nails! It’s as pink as it gets and looks very shimmery on the nails. This colour would bring to life any old outfit so fantastic as an accessory! Even though the colour is really deep, it looks best when two coats of the colour are applied.

Even though this lacquer looks more like a base or overcoat, I like it on my nails on its own. The iridescent glitter in the transparent pink lacquer has irregular shapes so ends up not being always perfectly applied on the nails, but that’s what I like about this product. However, the more coats of the product you apply (I did 3!) the better it looks. This lacquer is also great as layering colour on top of any other colours, not only pinks!

I’m loving this little collection and the names are out of this world – too cute!

  1. You lucky lady, these are all gorgeous colours! I especially love the brights and think the shimmer one would look wonderful over the paler colour! xxx

    1. Hi, Thank you for your beautiful comment! I like the minis as it's a great intro to the big sizes! The iridescent one looks great on its own but also great over other colours! I want to try it over some of my pastel nail lacquers this spring season! Also, will review a couple more of the mini collections as got two more this weekend! Watch this space :)) Thanks, Mags xx
